“Litigation and Discovery” Please respond to two (2) of the following:
•There are a number of important and necessary phases to every trial and appeal. Pick one phase that interests you, explain what it involves, and describe what particular responsibilities and contributions a paralegal could make to that phase.
•The paralegal can play a major role within the litigation process. One critical phase of litigation is the discovery process. Why is discovery so critical to litigation? What are the fundamental purposes that discovery serves to the courts?
•Pick one of the tools used in the discovery phase. Explain what it is and when you would use it. What are some of the strengths and weaknesses with this tool?
