Step 2: Everyone in the group: watch the video. Take notes on the artist’s names, titles of their artworks, themes, interesting ideas. Think about how each artist and artwork is a response or reflection on society.

Step 3: Choose 3 artists from the video (or from other research) who work in the city to focus on for your presentation. Do additional research at the Library, artist’s websites. Find articles and books related to your city and artists to use as evidence in your presentation.  You can use image, quotes, and information from your research; list sources.

Step 4: Prepare a 10 slide (minimum) POWERPOINT presentation on the global city and the 3 artists in that city that you learned about in the documentary or through additional research. In your presentation, you should: Provide basic information on the city and country: location, demographics, history, politics, intro to its culture, map of location. Discuss at least 3 artists (biography, techniques, goals of their art) and discuss at least two artworks from each artist (give title, date, show images, explain). Answer the question: how does each of the 3 artists respond society– to the political, social, environmental, identity, and/or cultural issues of their time and their location/city?

Step 4. Present in class with your group in class (15 mins per presentation, plus discussion). Upload PPT to BB.
