DBA-765 Comprehensive Exam Faculty Guidelines

• Please keep in mind that the comprehensive examination is a test and should be treated as

such. Faculty should not be assisting learners while they are writing up responses to

examination questions. No rewrites are allowed.

• Learners are not permitted to submit previously submitted or published work.

• Decisions for each written response is either Pass or Fail.

• Once examination responses are submitted and graded by the dissertation chair, feedback

on strengths and weakness demonstrated should be communicated to the learner.

o Committee member feedback on areas that the learner demonstrated as strengths

or weaknesses should be communicated to the Chair.

• Students are only allowed to take the Comprehensive Examination two times. If retake is

necessary, learners will rewrite their responses to only the questions that earned a Fail

grade.
