comparing and contrasting poetry

The following pairs of poems explore similar subject matter. Choose one of the pairs and write an essay of 600 to 800 words comparing and contrasting the two treatments of the same subject. Consider elements of style covered in the Units such as structure, point of view, tone, prosody, diction, imagery and others. Make sure that your discussion of both poems makes your ideas about theme or meaning clear.
