It is the study of norms and cultural products, how they vary across place, and how they relate. The study focus on economy, government, religion, and language vary or remain steady from one place to another. In general, it investigates on the way in which people intermingle with the Earth and each other (Dahlman, C. T., & Renwick, W. H. 2014). The study will also outline on how physical features such as bodies of water and mountains are interrelated with population patterns and development.

Firstly, we have the cultural diffusion that is brought by the spread of culture through factors such as trade, migration, communication, and commerce. The geography of culture changes with move over space. In New York State for example, there is no religion that originated from there but all of them resulted from diffusion. Secondly, the use of technology and energy to extract resources modify and impact existing spatial distribution.
